Key Features * On/Off function to control fluorescent or low energy lamps, air conditioner, fan, coffeepot, etc . * Designed to operate with 230VAC 500W loads.
Benefits The switch plug-in module is a 500W receiver unit that works as a remote controlled switch/relay. The connected load can also be switched on and off locally. The switch can be used at any wall outlet in the house. The switch plug-in module can switch incandescent lamps and low energy lamps up to 500W, appliances with electric motors up to 250W or halogen floor lamps with foot dimmer up to 500 W (refer also to "technical data"). As the X10 switch is simply inserted into wall outlets like an ordinary plug, there is no installation necessary. Just adjust the settings on the front side to the desired device address (e.g. G7) and note this address down in a list. The load connected to the switch module can still be controlled locally by its own switch, but do not forget to leave the local switch in the "ON" position, otherwise the load cannot be controlled by an X10 controller. Switch the load off by remote control. The AM12E responds STANDARD X10 protocol : "All units off" from any X10 controller set to its house code, regardless of unit code. Or alternatively, by individual unit control using "On" and "Off".
